Default Re: HORN FRIGHT!!!!

Friggin' teens !

Almost made me wreck today . I was turning into the gas station this afternoon & an Expedition (a few cages back) full of teenagers laid on the horn. It was long & it wasn't the average horn (something almost like those can horns). I looked back after I finished doing 2 or 3 S's & regained my balance only to see them all hanging out of the windows pointing at me & laughing their a$$es off. I was so full of fright & rage that I could only sit still on my Gixxer. It took every bit of my 3mo of experience to hold "Q-Rokit" steady. It would have really been awful if I'd went down.

I must admit that I hadn't read anything on being prepared for a cage full of teens w/a loud horn. All I know is that it was my very first serious "close-call!"

Heck, I was more afraid during this situation than I was when I almost over-shot the curve exiting the freeway. At least then I had a choice on how & when to lay the bike down but doing S's back & forth you don't know how you're gonna go down. Friggin' teens !
