Default Experienced Rider Course - Opinions?

I signed up to take the MSF/CaRE Experienced Rider Course on Saturday by California Rider Education . It goes from noon until 5 PM in Alemeda California at the dock where the USS Hornet is berthed. I have never done a course of any kind and wondered what you guys think of it. Have any of you spent a day in a course like this? Worthwhile?

I started riding in 1977 but had a long lapse from the early 80s to July last year. I have put on 13,000 miles since then. Alemeda is about 110 miles away, so I get a pretty good ride in just to attend, and unfortunately, the return trip will be in the dark.
