A tip for sloooow turns, where your balance kicks in for sure, remember not to turn your head all the way to where you're going at, because then you have to put your leg down.
If you're practicing doing a figure-eight, just slightly turn your head. When you don't have enough speed to keep the bike up for itself, then it's another deal.
I had to do a figure eight on my gsxr, not the bike of choice for the job, but I had to do it on my own bike for the trackcourse. I find myself turning my head too much over and I had to put my leg down. It's years ago since I did this, so it's easy to forget.
