I agree. I hit interstate on the way to work just because of time, but take the long way home after work.

A while back we had one of those rare warm February days and I put about 200 miles on the new bike in one day. For part of that I ventured on to I-81 to get to another back road, and didn't notice any difficulty at all. From what I'd read I was concerned about being pushed around/sucked in by the air around large trucks but did not experience that.

The 20 mph wind gusts had more effect and that was easy enough to deal with, just let the bike roll around underneath me.

There wasn't much traffic and the big surprise was to glance down at the speedometer and see 85 mph. Yikes! I thought I was going more like 70 (speed limit there).

What is this speed "limit" you speak of... never heard of one of those...

haha on a related topic,

I know all the police officers in my town, and they recently decided not to chase motorcycles that are speeding through town, just let them go.. curious move by the P.D.
