Default Is it fair or not?

Hi everyone,

Just looking for a little advice in a my first post and am hoping this is the right section to ask.

I want a naked suzuki bandit, either the 650 or 1250 but I will be having to do a 2 hours motorway trip once a month and am concerned about it not having a fairing like the SA models do.

Does anyone own a naked bandit and make motorway trips that can comment on the wind effects please?

Many thanks.

I don't understand what you mean by "fair" in this case.

But anyhow, I've got a GSX 1400 - the "big brother" of the Bandit 1200. Riding a naked bike at speeds up to about 80 mph is a bit more "work" than riding a bike with fairings, but it's definitely possible. You'll notice the air pressure, especially on your neck.

You'll need a good helmet, because the wind around your head will be loud, and it can also cause the helmet to start shaking at high speeds. (I've got a small windscreen just to protect the instruments, and this causes serious turbulance around my head at speeds over 100 mph).

It was my poor attempt at a joke as the SA (Sport) versions have the fairing attached.

So I presume I could fit a small screen afterwards to protect my instruments too?

Thanks for the reply by the way!

My local Suzuki dealer

I live in Switzerland ... the GSX 1400 was only sold in Europe, Australia and Japan, but never sold in the USA.

What is the weather like where you live. Riding in the rain without at least a small faring can be brutal.

Well I live in the UK so it never stops raining hehe

I'm going to get the naked version and hopefully find a smaller less obtrusive fairing to add on afterwards too.

I'm always amused at the number of models "sold overseas" but just don't tend to find there way here (in the states).

oh, by the way, welcome aboard.
