Ive noticed the harley guys disapproval of jap bikes. But my friend (big harley guy with a "built to the hilt" bike) has the same ideas as me, Its all about having fun, it doesn't matter what you rid, as long as your having fun. thats what its all about!!

comradery is a major part of hobbies, that people spend alot of time doing. The less people who do the hobby, the more comradery there is.

And about your rights, they end when it directly effects other peoples rights, anything else is a privilege.

If you are forced to pay for the roads thru taxes, you should also be able to pick what you can drive on them as long as its not a total pos. Hell, we got military vehicles(humvees) driving on the roads driven by people who can't see over the steering wheel. Anyone who bans a bike from being drove on the same road has the head up their ass. I bet you can drive a tank on the street if it doesn't go over the weight limit and not to wide. I know you can in london because I've seen it. I could see this as a new fad in America after everyone has suvs.

Problem is the "Majority", they see a tank rolling down their street and think it's amusing and out of the ordinary, one motorcycle with loud pipies ride down their street at 2 am and they're calling the cops and crying to have bikes banned.

Agreed Uncle Bob. Though, in any hobby, there will be people who push the limits and force everyone to suffer the wrath. It's unfortunate but true.

At any rate, I've gotten my first few waves recently, and it makes me smile. It's nice to be a part of something greater than yourself.

Love the waving, almost makes you think things are actually ok with the human race. I did notice that during bike week here in the area, not as many bikers were waving as when it is just the normal "locals" but here in central FL because of Daytona I'd guess we get a larger concentration of out of area riders than normal..and hey Redneck UF if you pass a bright yellow Kat in the forest or somewhere up and down 441 wave it might be me.

i totally agree with the waving/comraderie. i like what my uncle says " i have respect for anyone who's up in the wind, and i wave to anyone who's in the wind." the other day, 2 GI's on r6's gave me a nice wave and a nod when i was in my SUV at a stoplight. i think that if someone in a car waves, then they usually have a bike and know what's up.

Just start waving, a lot of riders don't wave because they waved at somebody who didn't wave back and felt foolish. Maybe we can turn the tide and make someone feel bad because you waved and he didn't.

How far does waving extend?! It gets kinda ludacris in cali. I mean, I don't mind, and often wave to harley guys in packs (least likely to wave) because I love hogs. I also will point at nice muscle cars, and cars over 200,000 dollars. But it goes pretty far when people start waving across divided highways.

I came up with a flexible rule. The meaner the sportbike (or all gixxers) get a wave, even if its three football fields away. If your riding a 85 virago, and your raising hand across a divided highway, you'll get the nod.

I got a wave from a motorcycle cop a few days ago... I thought they were excluded?
