Default Passed the MSF Course TODAY (Father's day)

Hello everyone. Well, it has finally come to pass. After having the learner's permit for a couple months and 700 miles experience on the S50 in that time, I had a blast this weekend ending today successfully passing the beginner's course (Sunday June 15th)... We rode the Honda Nighthawks (250 cc.), a very light bike compared to my cruiser, but VERY forgiving.

The written test was completed and aced with all 50 questions answered correctly (WOW for an old guy too )

Test on the range was good. Got -6 points. Touched the ground (with my foot) in the damn `box' with the rest of the class watching. YEAH, I was at the head of the line and ended up FIRST to start that ride evaluation segment.

It was funny though, with everyone watching, I said to my coach... "You planned this one didn't you!" They all started laughing, with relieved the tension.

You know, in the end, its kind of bitter sweet, you really get to know some nice people in the group (there were 22 of us all together), and then, its over and everyone goes their own way... The coaches and their assistants were great and pretty funny - talk about patience! , even memorized our names!

Well, it was a great experience, and I look forward to getting in a parking lot and trying some of the things I just learned - well, maybe not some of the stuff that beats the hell out of your bike anyways...

Anyone else have a nice experience such as this with the MSF beginners course?

I actually took video when I could with a small camera I kept in my back pocket, everyone in my group actually got used to it, and the coaches didn't seem to mind, which turned out to be pretty funny in the end, when the certificates were being handed out. Glad it was captured actually.

All from here for now........still on cloud nine over this

Truly,
Gary
