I agree, and I accept that hand.

Ok, now that this is over I suppose I have to get back to work.

No, wait, I'll go back to Vinnie's computer thread.

You obviously haven't seen him text while on the bike.....

Wow this thread got pretty heated - and it wasn't even political!

I'm with Landry on this one. The OP came in with a question, clearly stating his lack of experience.
Volt came in and without getting into a short essay on braking technique, bike geometry and dynamics and physics, wrote a simple statement which is true for 99% of new riders with an experience level like that of the OP. I see nothing wrong with what he wrote. Without the correct training and practice, it probably will happen just as he says it will.

So back to the original poster's question, the advice I would give would be focusing on correct and smooth throttle operation and clutch control using the friction zone. Turning your head and looking where you want to go, not at the curb or the middle of the road markings.

Maybe the mods could just delete all the threads after post #2 and lock this thread!!

Well, you're right I guess. I'm sure there are many many many things I don't know about Landry.

Hmmmm. Where'd that phrase come from? Was it Police Academy?

Ok. Since this is out in left field, we'll close it up.
