Default When ignoring weather warnings...

At least wear the other jacket.

I usually try my best to watch the weather on the evening news before I get ready to ride to work. If it says rain, I skip the bike and drive. Now I have been unable to ride to work as frequently as I like. So when the weather man said the rain wouldn't make it to my area before morning I decided to ride.

As is normal for this time of year I wear my mesh jacket under my Icon vest.

First warning: Even with the mesh jacket I'm normally fairly warm as I get all my gear together in the garage. I notice it was actually cool. I decide not to take the time to switch to my MotoGP jacket. Riding to work I think' "yup, it's cool. I'm going to be cold on the way home."

Second warning: As I go outside my building to get some fresh air I notice the bikes wet. No biggie, next time out I bring some paper towels. The bikes even wetter. Wipe it down, back inside.

Clincher: As I leave work it's raining. I nice little drizzle. Great. As I gear up the rain picks up some. So I ride home with a wet but and very cold arms, since they are under my less than protective mesh jacket. Thankfully I left the windshield on.
