This weekend I have confirmed something I have been figuring for a long time now. I am no good with twisties. I have lost confidence in the curves and my abilities to vavigate them safely. The main reason being is that 99.9% of the time there is debris all out in the curves.. usually marble like rocks just ready for the right person to come along. Now I ride a busa which to me isn't that hard to ride and lean but for some reason I would almost rather stay away from hitting twisties too hard and too fast anymore. I love the long straight shots where I can get the speed up really good but even that comes with its risks of cops, and blown out recapped tires. So the thing I've learned is if your not comfortable doing something such as twisties at a high rate of speed its ok to back off and just go into them slow and easy.. It only takes one time to lay your bike down and get injured and have your bike torn to bits.. I'd rather avoid that.. plus I am looking at another lower back surgery soon and would not want to complicate life with a bike injury on top of it..lol |
