Why even hit the start button? Just flip the switch back on and release the clutch?

I'm a little surprised that nobody has commented on the MP3 blazing tunes in both of your ears. With regards to being aware of your environment, not being able to hear around you as well as taking your attention off the road to adjust the mirror, meaning you have a hand off the bars... it is all a mix for disaster. Glad nothing happened. Ride safe!

Well.. they weren't really blazing in my ears.. i have a NADY intercom system.. and they basically put little speakers in your helmet.. (held on by velcro) so the plugs werent IN my ears, its kinda like speakers for your helmet...

I'm somewhat surprised that the engine would freely rotate when off. I'm guessing that the engine braking might have been greater than with it on though. Luckliy, you had slowed down quite a bit, and were probably still in your top gear so the RPM requirement on the engine was probably pretty low.

I'd say you got a lucky break.

rps requirement for me at 65 in 6th grear is slightly over 4k.. so yeah. not too much of a requirement considering i redline at like 12.25 or 12.5
