| Here's just a few things I've seen since I got here a very short time ago: 1. Motorcycle people are really cool. And helpful, too. 2. Experienced riders are less likely to brag, posture, and act all macho (or the female equivalent - machete!). 3. The school of hard knocks is especially hard when you major in motorcycle. Pavement is hard. And scratchy. Cars are hard, too. And bigger than us. And they will let any fool drive one. And talk on a cell phone at the same time. It's not like you have to be paranoid. Wait. Yes, paranoia is probably called for. 4. I am not the only person who thinks gear is a good idea. Just the only one I know of around here. Well, call me geeky. Still, even with knowing better, I was riding in jeans. I've seen the light - just ordered some riding pants. I really, really like my skin. And I really, really like riding. The way to keep both is to get and wear decent gear. Thanks for the encouragement on this. 5. I've always thought of biking as something to be done solo. But there's also a neat community out there to enjoy, sharing tips, experiences, and just the plain joy of riding with. 6. Call Uncle Bob.

Anyhow to the forum. Glad you are getting the rest of the gear. Skin is time consuming to replace, and never looks as good as the original!
