| Well yesterday i was riding this trail called 222 and i had never been there. There was like a big pit in the center of everything. It was almost like a crater, like all the edges went down at a steep angle. Anyway once you were in there was jumps and hillclimbs back to the top. So i sat on the rim of the pit and planned my ride down. And then i saw a little jump at the bottom of the hill, like 4 or five feet high. I set my sights towards it and started down the hill. I was having fun and i gunned it. As the jump came closer i slowed down a little but not enough. (keep in mind it was a small jump, i was like 6 feet in the air) I completely missed the little landing ramp and hit solid ground. My ribs smashed into my bars and i fell over. I rolled a few times and came to a stop. My whole body was covered in scratches and i ripped my jersey. But since i was decked in gear i was fine. Today i have a nice bruise on my ribs and my arms are really sore. But my poor bike will need some new plastics and the rim is a little jacked. I guess im lucky it wasnt worse Anyway i learned to always know where ur riding. i should of known how small the jump was and the distance to the landing ramp |

| You sound like Wuby........he has broken his collar bone, just about ripped his foot off on the foot peg........totally destroyed a helment, ripped almost all the skin off his arm from the elbow to the wrist. Except for the collar bone, he would come home and say "DAD, DUDE...I completed a 90 foot triple today" or "Man you should have seen me clear that table top". I would still be in the hospital !

| Yeah glad to hear that your fine. Like smurf was sayin i have had my experiences over shootin' stuff and it dont feel to good. I have learned that if your hard on the gas as your landing te suspension soaks up alot. Well are you on a race bike or a trail bike, or a trail bike with race suspesion like the WR, or CRFX or any KTM. The trail bikes arent meant to be jumped and their suspension isnt really that forgiveing, (experience). As gibby said lots of fun get offs, well throw offs literally. Just a part of the dirt.

| That reminds me of the time I was on a trail that I rode many times. This time however I was riding it from the other direction. I was in the air when I realized that the place I was going to land was all rutted up really bad lol. Needless to say I wiped out but did not get hurt. It also taught me to look to see what is on the other side before I jump lol.

| I know what it's like and I feel for you. I dropped my first bike today making a left hand turn, banking real hard and car in front of my locked up the brakes, I hit my brakes while leaning in the turn and went down with my leg caught under the bike. My bikes OK except for a small scratch under fender and some road rash on elbow with big bruise on my hip. The bikes can always be repaired, as long as we are ok that's what counts. PS I will be riding tomorrow. |
