Default health insurance issue

Just finished my MFS course today. Great experience. One of our instructors told us to check our motorcycle policies when we get them. The pip coverage is limited to pedestrians. So, it is my understanding that if you are injured (and you're at fault) your own m/c policy will not cover your health costs. It is then up to your own Med. insurance policy. I heard further that some Medical insurance carriers exclude motorcyle riders. Has any one of you had any experience or know about this. I have BC/BS of New Jersey which is a PIP state.

Thanks.
