Welp, The usual happened today (Saturday) out for a ride this afternoon. Traffic was the usual nightmare, ambulance sirens, police cars and fire engines were very active. I was returning from the dealer I got my bike from in Brigham City after buying some safety gear (new fullface and Summer gloves),. In a sorry attempt to avoid heavier traffic I was exposed to the usual danger of having a large Chevrolet SUV turn from a right corner in front of me at 40 mph. Fortunately scanning traffic I was on the brakes and clutch immediately! I don't believe the two Idahoans even took second notice of the poor bastard on the Suzuki waving a warm hell-o from less than 3.5 feet away. This was no biggy, because it's normal in today's "cell phone society"... The craziness is, or mabe not so crazy...this driver cut me off again at the next light while I was manuvering and signaling for the right turn! She just entered the right turn lane I was in with no regard for any other vehicle, almost forcing yours truly into the raised curb. Fortunately I was watching this vehicle closely! Once I could forgive, twice is a bit hard to understand unless a driver is just plain sociopathic towards all motorcycles! It's scary out there! (Yet you all know that!) jim |
