Default one of the classiest things ever done!

This morning it was really foggy on my way to work and for some reason the bike stalled out and I was having trouble getting it started again. There was a guy in a big dodge truck behind me and tried waving him around, but he put his flashers on and waited until I got the bike started. He obviously thought with the heavy fog, it would be safer for him to block upcoming traffic in my lane instead. So, whoever you are, thank you for helping keep me safe!

Nothing like a safety barrier.

I've had similar things happen to me quite a bit. I tend to grouse at cagers a lot but there really are a ton of nice ones out there.

I ride in the cold a lot and often pull off to the side to have a smoke and warm up. I push the bike for a bit to get the blood flowing. Several times, cagers have stopped to see if they could help. Invariably, the person asking is a biker or an ex-biker who has had a breakdown in the past and wants to help me out.

Super nice.

I should mention this is always in the country.....

That's really cool.

Yesterday on my way home from work, I turned right off the freeway exit. I looked in my mirror and saw a guy in a beemer pointing at the bike. It took me a couple of seconds to realize I had left my turn signal on.

I thought that was nice of him.

I agree...it's usually from a current or former biker that you get this from.

I know when I'm in my cage I'm extra nice to someone on a bike...even though I'm jealous that they're riding and I'm not!

We all are cagers from time to time and I'd like to think MOST of us are the type that would help out when possible. Most of the help I've gotten have been from non riders I'm suprised to say! When I was going down with a bike from heat exhaustion it was a cager that helped me keep the bike upright until I got it upright and down the road. Both times I was almost hit it was a concerned cager that stopped to see if I was alright. They aren't all bad, just pre-occupied in their little bubbles (cages) in their daily commute. They don't have to be worried about loosing their hides on the asphalt if they have a fender bender! LOL!
