Default Is This Okay? Cleaning Your Bike
Would it be okay to go to the car wash and clean your bike that way? Not the drive-through car wash but where you can wash your car manually.

Would that effect the chains on my wheel?

Another question is, how often should you check the tension on the chains? For some reason I'm afraid of the chain snapping off at me going 60 mph.
