| I now have 600 miles on the bike and I'm about to change the oil after I get off work. Any advice that can help me in the long run or just go with what the manual says? Also what else do you recommend at this stage?

| A lot of people switch to synthetic at this stage. Myself I haven't switched yet. As for recommendation, do it at the interval the manual says and you should be fine. Personnally, I change the filter everytime juste because I'm already greased up and it doesn't cost a lot.

You would think someone would have all the answers by now but I sure don't.

| Muscle Biker ![]() | Rule #1 - Oil change = Filter change. Always. What's the point of replacing the old oil with new if there is a pint of old oil (and whatever else was floating around in the engine) left in the filter? Mineral oil, partially synthetic or fully synthetic ... it's more a religious question then a technical one. If the oil meets the manufacturer's specifications, use it. If it isn't the right specs for your engine, don't use it.
