If you aren't seated on the bike when fueling, always fuel from the left side... ...why?... The bike leans that way on the stand, so it leans towards you. If you get lazy, and try from the right, you have to bend over and support yourself to look into the tank... when you do that, you have to bend your knee forward to support the weight... ...when you do that, your knee might touch the exhaust (yep... I was dumb!)... Anyway... simple guideline. (Seems logical and no different than you should always get on from the left but sometimes the simplest things get missed when we're lazy.) |
