| M-J.Com Master Poster ![]() | Check and make sure the kickstands down before you try to lean it. I got past the 45° tilt and thought it was a goner. The bike was falling away from me and somehow I conjured enough strength to save it. Another thing I learned “bikes are heavy”. |

| Fourth gear and illegal ![]() | I was at a friend's house a few weeks ago and parked next to the curb. I had already gotten off when I decided to get it a little closer. I rolled it forward without putting the kickstand up, but when I went to set it over, the kickstand had been kicked up from the asphalt. I caught it, but it was scary! (fwiw, I can lift the Gixxer up off the ground by myself. I've had to do it

| I've heard that people conjur strength they're unaware of in a time of need

| 100% Title Free ![]() | One of the best reasons to buy an "economy bike" as your first ride is because dropping it is not as painful when you don't realize that the kickstand isn't fully extended. It only cost me a front turn signal lens on my '82 GS450L, as well as the respective embarassment.

| Kickstand Operator ![]() | I have motorcycle jack, with a foot pedal release. The way I let it down is that I will always lower it just to the point the tires touch the floor, but weight is still on the jack. I walk around it, then get on the seat, and let it down completely. This worked on my Intruder, but I'm yet to try it on the M50. The M50 is alot wider. I'm not real tall, but didn't have the problem reaching the jack's pedal when on the intruder, the m50 may be a different story

Would be a Kodak moment to see someone that big on the back of anyone's ride.
