| My flip HJC gives me a sore point in the forehead after an hour. Someone said I should just carve a tiny bit out to make it better. It cost $500 and i'm well aware of the safety issues...what to do??

| Muscle Biker ![]() | Some helmets (Shoei, Arai) have different liners available so that you can get an optimal fit. I don't know about HJC. If there is a single point where their is pressure, you could shave a bit of the styrofoam at that point (at your own risk, of course). If you have too much pressure against your whole forehead, then the helmet is the wong size. Try to sell it and get yourself one that fits. EDIT: Keep in mind that helmet liners are usually tight at the beginning. After a few hours of use, they will start to form to your head. If the helmet is relatively new, then I would wait a few more weeks before shaving the styrofoam. YMMV

| Other option could be for you to resell this one and buy another model. When I buy a helmet, I keep it on for a good 15 minutes. Normally, pressure point show after this time. Tried 5 different models before settling on my HJC AC-11.
