|  Time for new gear
Now that it's getting colder, I've discovered that I need to invest in some better gear. Any opinions on jackets? Leather vs. Textile? Any brand in particular? I can't spend tons of money, but I know something that will keep me warm and protected is a necessity, and I'm willing to pay for that. I usually just cruise and commute, but I'm looking to get into some longer trips eventually, not into sport riding really (at least not yet). Any opinions on gloves, too?
