|  SV50s performance? I've been trying to talk my friend out of buying a GSXr600 as a first bike. I figure the SV isn's as fast as a GSXR but might still be pretty good. | The GSX-R is NOT a beginner bike. Period. I recommend you use the search feature of the forum, all that has been discussed, many times already. The SV puts out about 70 HP.
