Sure, there's a ton.

Cosmetic or performance mods?

Right now I am thinking about putting a pipe on the bike around June or so. Does anyone have an aftermarket pipe on, what kind and how does it sound?

There's a few sound files I've seen on the net, I'll try to find them.

http://www.sv650.org/ this site has every thing you need to know about SV's. There are sound sound files in the goodies section. I personally have a Micron can. It sounds good, but the rubber gaskets used on it are crap. They are almost completely out on one end of the can.....

yes there are 1,003,947,258 different ways to modify your SV. I bought mine all tricked out so it doesnt count as much. I still think shes a beaut with the hotbodies fender eliminator (be carefull where you mount the plate though, dealer located mine badly and it went bye bye on the first bump, good thing I still have the temp) and the yoshimira(sp) aftermarket can and powercommander make it growl and move like its a scared cat.

Looking at everyone elses bikes, maybe I should have bought the SV650S instead of the SV650. I kinda dont like the long side mirrors I have. Is there an aftermarket modification I can do to change this? I looked at 650 and a 650S pictures side by side and really only saw a difference in the Headlight and bar frame...if those are the correct words. Anyway, If I can find something to replace those I'd be happy.

the gearing is also slightly different and the rear pegs are too, and, um, the, ahhh, #7 transmission case mounting nut has 1/2 of a thread less on the SVS, to save weight of course.....
actually the front brake levers are different, the S model has the res above the bar and the N model has the res in the lever body

When I started the thread i was initially asking about SVs only mods, like the GSXR mirror swap, or the chin spoiler or just small things that are done on our bikes only. Like maybe doing something nifty with that lame small parking light.

what parking light?
I'm still saying the best mods are a full exhaust, clean up the tail area, get some accent lighting showing off the frame and motor and showing off the newly cleaned up tail area... (on a hidden switch of course, illegal) and maybe some paint or so. I got this idea to do a frost type paint overlay, with clearcoat saturated in metal flake and marbelized (place thin plastic sheeting over wet paint, crinkled a bit, pull off, let dry) and then another of those with clear saturated in pearl, then enough clearcoat (straight up) to make it all flat and shine highly. somehow that just sounds like an excellent paint scheme to me.....

This guy's service is rated 10/10. I highly recommend him. He has his own forum at Maximum-Suzuki so you can talk directly to him, or you can just call him. He's an old-school racer.
