Default No Power after Jump

Well I made a huge mistake. I was far from home in the middle of no where when my battery decided to die on my 1997 Suzuki VZ800. Desperately I had my bike jumped from a non running car battery. It worked for a second then I hear a Pop and all my lights went out and have no power to anything. I Checked all the fuses and they seem to be fine. What should I start looking at first to be the cause? I dont have a voltmeter on me to check. Any idea's where to start?

I believe the older Marauders have a circuit breaker- look for a small button to push and reset it, somewhere under the seat or next to the fuse box.

Start by GETTING a meter.

Batteries don't usually die completely without warning.......usually.
Jumping from a car/truck should NOT be a problem.

You may have a short that drained your battery. When connected to a healthy battery, that short probably popped the breaker or main fuse (how do you know fuses are good without a meter ????).

Also could have burned a wire off somewhere.
Get a meter or take it to a shop.
