Bike: Suzuki Marauder VZ1600

| Hey all, I'm new to the group (and new to owning my own motorcycle) and need help. I'm trying to insall saddlebags on my Suzuki Marauder VZ1600 but when I slide the strap over the tail of the bike and under the seat, the seat doesn't appear to fit anymore. The bolt on the back of the seat won't go back in easily - doesn't seem like something I should force... I've gotta believe there is a way to install bags on this bike... I see there are ghost brackets available, is this the only way to go? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks Jay |

| I've never put a set on that particular bike, but on many bikes you have to cut a notch into the strap so it will go around whatever electronics, brackets, or bolts are under the seat. Your bike is a Kawasaki Mean Streak with different fender and some cosmetic changes. As the Kawasaki version is still in production and sold in greater numbers, you might see if you can find a Mean Streak website for some ideas.
