| Don`t know what the brass fitting on the right hand side is. If you are refering to the rubber hose that goes to the top of the air box, this hose comes from the top of the engine it is your engine breather pipe. What is the trouble with the fuel flow ???? and exactly what model gs550 is it they did 3 for that year a GS550E / GS550ES sport / GS550L step seat.

| Hey it is an "L" model i have ran into a new problem now though when running the bike poors fuel out of the vent hole or whatever that is one of those four holes that gets covered up when you put the boot back on its a very small hole but anyways it leaks fuel out of that hole pretty bad and only when running and it doesnt matter if it is in the prime reserve or on position??? im at a loss here the float is functioning properly. . . is there supposed to be a rubber seat for the float needle or is it supposed to have a rubber tip surely its not metal on metal right? it currently has rubber seats in it but i put those there so any help is appreciated thanks

| Right the float needdle if my memory serves me right has a rubber tip (might be metal to metal ) but does not have a rubber seat. Sounds like there might be a blockage in the one carb that is leaking fuel at the back of the carb !!( when running the bike poors fuel out of the vent hole or whatever that is one of those four holes that gets covered up when you put the boot back on )!! Take it your talking about the airbox. If you need to find out any info try going to the link below has part diagrams Alpha Sports - Suzuki Motorcycle Parts Catalog Try cleaning the carbs.

| haha no i wasnt talking about the airbox there are four holes at the back of each carb or maybe is only two i cant remeber for sure now but that is where the fuel is leaking out of and the yes it is leaking into the air box thanks for the help though it could have somthing to do with rubber seats being in instead of a rubber tipped needle carbs are clean though. . .
