Default Battery Location?

This is my first day here so I learning my way around so If I screw up be gentle with me.
I just bought a 2002 Intruder 1400 and before I really take the bike out I'm checking it over. I took the seat off looking for the battery and all I saw was a maze of connectors and wires so I stopped. I removed the side panels for a quick look and no battery there so before I did a major tear down I though that since the bike didn't came with a manual I'd put my pride aside and ask here.
Also does the bike have a low fuel indicator in the small panel new the speedo? The only thing that I have to repair is the speedo cable, the old one broke off 3 inches under the head. That should be a no brained, Thanks for taking the time to read this.

We realize you are new here. That's cool. Lot's of great people here with lots of great info and help. You have to be a little patient though. The speedo cable, like you said, is a no brainer. I'm not sure about the low fuel light on the speedo.

Enjoy working on it. When another member comes along later with Intruder 1400 questions, you're likely to be able to answer them and share the knowledge.

Default Battery Location

Diamond Jim
Thanks for the help. I found the battery, dropped it out and it tested for a dead cell.
