Default 1979 gs750

Hello,
i have a gs750 that the battery is charged on and doesnt turn over when pressing the button. It has done this before and started working again with no luck this time. I tried another throttle and button combo but did not help. i can cross the solenoid and get it to turn over that way but no spark. Any ideas.?

Classic test for a bad solenoid. Replace it.
(Not sure what your second post was all about............????)

Maybe.......if the ignition switch is ON and all of the safety interlocks are in the right position (which might be hard to do by yourself if there is one on the clutch).

So......if the starter won't turn with the START button but it does when bridging the solenoid then: A safety interlock is bad OR the wire from button to solenoid is broken OR the solenoid itself is bad.

It now appears that my previous answer was a little incomplete!

turns out it was a bad connection at the fuse. Is it possible to buy new fuse clips or do i need the whole block?

you can buy new fuse clips at a good hardware store in the automotive department.

installing can be a bit of a pain.
