Default vz800 question

hello everyone
i have a 2000 vz800. one day i drove it home for lunch it was fine. Got on it after lunch it was running like crap. After
searching and fooling with it i discovered the front cylinder wasnt firing well. The spark plug was white which i believe is lean. so i limpet it home, on the way home it would surge like the cylinder was getting fire again, and then started in with the carb cleaner thinking there was trash in there. That didnt work. So then thinking a gas line or fuel pump was bad took them all off and cleaned then. After that jerry rig the fuel pump to test if it was pumping. Dont know how much it is supposed to pump but it was pumping a good amount. Then put it all back together and replaced the spark plug on the "bad" cylinder. That helped alittle but it is still not firing right and know the exhaust smells rich.
So i guess my questions are would it be the coil pack not firing strong enough, does anyone know the spec psi on the fuel pump, and the resistance on the coil pack? And any suggestions on what to check would be greatly appreciated.
