Default Vee vs. Wee

I'm considering a V-strom for my next ride. Comming from a M50 (805cc) that I don't feel has enough umph, should I bother looking at the 650 wee strom?

I haven't rode either, but I like the height of the 650 better (and the price oc) so I know ffo the bat I'd need lowering bones on the 1000cc. I just don't want to drop all that cash and find myself wanting in 6 months.

I weigh in at ~240lbs but hope to be more around 200 eventually, and look to take trips with a 125lb passenger and some gear.

The specs on the Vee 650 say you'll get about 15 more horses over the M50 (67hp). The 1000 gives you 98hp. If that's all you're looking for, go with the 1000. Then again, I don't know anything about either bike (thanks google)

I work with a guy who has had both, and he says the larger is better for two-up on trips, especially if you load it down with luggage. If you plan to keep it for a while and travel a lot, he says to get the bigger one, as he started on the small one and traded up after one season.
