I learned on a old GS.

If I can remember it had 6 speeds and got up to 80mph pretty quick.

That brings back memories. I had an '81 GS750 that I bought brand new. I loved that bike and wish I didn't have to sell it. My wife wouldn't let me keep it after buying a Suzuki Jeep. Biggest mistake I ever made.
