Can someone help me with a kickstand assembly for 1980 GS550L? I bought an aftermarket kickstand and spring. Any pictures would be great!! Thank you!!!

Pictures of what? Does your bike have the factory stand on it now?

No...if it did then I would not need assistance. I have a center stand and it is pain to prop up sometimes. Therefore I had to buy a kickstand but the spring attachment is throwing me off. I begining to wonder if I got the right kickstand...

I did some searching around the web for some pics but couldn't find any close ups. I found a few 550 specific forums; they might have pics or manual pages.

Thank you for your help! I finally found my book....but nothing for kickstands just center stands. I think I am about ready to give up....

i have the same bike and i go to this site when im looking for parts, i know you already bought the kickstand but you could try and send it back and get this one
