| dear everybody i got a new switch today for 7 bucks. installed in 10 minutes. broke into the seat and put in a new latch without a lock for 2 bucks and put on a different gas cap for 10. all in all i got out of it ok i think. the locksmith told me it would take him a few days and i was looking at about 75 bucks. maybe i should have done it maybe i did the right thing who knows its done now i guess

| i had to get this stuff down like this weekend because i move to boston next weekend and i need to get this bike sold. friend offered me 800 for it. which is 50 less than i paid and i took it. he said he was fine with the seat not locking so i guess its ok.

yeah it was just a generic switch from advance auto parts. i had to use a different mount to attach it to the bike but all in all it worked

| If it hasn't been said yet....don't panic. Just take the ignition you have (that works! no need to buy a new one) to a professional locksmith and say, "Can you make me a key to fit my bike ignition, here's the ignition?" Shouldn't take him long, and won't cost an arm & a leg.
