Default SV1000S electrical gremlins!

I have annoying electrical fault with my SV1000 which is 3 years old now
and 15k miles, for last few months now, occasionally all the electrics just
cut out, normally for just few seconds and then comes back again,
everything goes including all the dashboard electrics and the engine. Bike had full service last week and have just done 400 mile trip up to Scotland for the weekend and after picking bike up from garage it did 80 miles perfectly, then for about 4 miles it must have died and come back to life about 10 times, then for rest of weekend (and in all weathers!) it has behaved itself perfectly! Steve who serviced bike (and he is really really good at servicing as well!) checked all electrical connections on bike, battery is holding its charge fine and couldnt find anything obviously wrong!

Has anybody else either heard of similar problems on a SV or any good
ideas what else to check next??

Thanks
Stephen

Unhappy burnt out connector!

turned out it was the connector underneath the ignition/lock unit, there was a green connector that had big burn mank on it - that was obvioulsy giving me the trouble!!

Sorry I missed your first post. I was going to suggest that something was getting grounded. Glad you found it.
