Try highway hawk, meancycles.com, motoleather.com, mc enterprises, cruisercustomizing.com, and suzuki

Or do a Google search for "highway bars intruder 800", as the ones that fit the 800 also fit the 750.

As I recall 84 - 87 (maybe 83 to 87) the gov't stepped in on behest of Harley's part. Harley was complaining about the big bike imports, and anything 750 or larger would be subject to a fee/fine. So, the japs destroked their bikes to 700 from 750 for those years.

After 87 Harley was doing better and congress repealed the silly law. Like Harley was aiming at the 750 market.

My 1984 Magna is a 700. Well, right now it's nothing, but parked in the corner of a building.

Yes, the Intruder was first sold in the US as a 700 for 85, 86, and 87, exactly half the size of it's big sister, the Intruder 1400. 1988-1991 it was a 750, and 1992 until now it is an 800. In Europe it was also sold with a 600cc motor (while a whopping 25HP) 91-98 to avoid high import tariffs, insurance, and taxes on the 800cc version. In Japan and certain other countries the Intruder was also sold with a 400cc motor (about 20 HP), as it as very expensive and time consuming to get a license to ride a bike larger than that.

Some parts are different from the 700 to the 750: triple tree, forks, radiator, electronics, and motor are different. The rest of the bike pretty much interchanges.

Ok so this si the last question hopefully for this thread, Im guessing the enginebars/crashbars for the 750 will fir the 700 frame should be the same. but I have seen a chrome radiator cover for the 700. you say the radiator for the 700 is diff then 750. anyone else ever see a chrome cover for the 700 besides me? otherwise I love the bike. I was thinking of getting different driver pegs. but wouldnt know how to change them unless I got the manual, (which I should get anyways)
You guys/gals have been a big help in the past and have been a big help now, thank you very much
