I recently installed slip-exhausts on my wife’s GSXR-600 and my GSRX-1000. At the same time I changed the engine oil, using full synthetic. Now it looks as though both of our bikes are running hotter (both have hit 220 F stop and go, 180 F highway). I cannot find documentation stating the acceptable temp range, so I don't know if I should be concerned. Does anyone know if it is normal for eng temps to increase after installing a slip-on? I've also heard that full synthetic in a sport bike is not recommended. Could this be the cause? Other then the temp increase neither bike seems to be running any differently.
