Are you sure the battery is good? Sometimes when a battery is going, it will give a poor result when trying to start, and when you try to charge it...it just goes completely. I've had this happen on both bikes and cages. How old is the battery? What kind is it? There are some poor quality batteries out there. You may get some power to the lights and such, but they have very little draw. I've had this happen on both bikes and cages. How old is the battery? What kind is it? Starters and selinoids don't usually just stop working, they usually show degredation over time.

Are you sure the battery took the charge? A bad battery can sit on the charger all day without improving.

Are all 4 battery connections tight? (the two from the cables to the terminals, and the two that hold the terminals on the battery)

Are the safety switches working correct? (the kill switch is on, the clutch pulled in, the sidestand up if it is in gear- bypass them if necessary to test them)

If everything else is OK, turn on the key and put the bike in neutral. Remove the left side cover, below the seat. You will see the starter relay, which has two terminals on it. Use a screwdriver to cross the terminals. If the starter cranks, the relay is bad. If the starter does not crank, check the wiring and the starter itself.

Thanks!

I order online from RonAyers.com, and have always had good service. They list it at the same $45 though. Bikebandit.com lists it for $50, so I think $45 is a cheap as you are going to find it.
