Default VX800 for a first bike?

I am looking for a decent bike to take to college to save on gas money. I found a pic of one I had been lookin at a few months back but totally forgot what model it was. Can anyone tell me what bike this is?

It's probably a bit heavy, and a 63 hp 800 could be a bit unruly (torquey) at lower rpms. How big are you? Any training?
