It is not funny nor does it prove a point. How would you feel if that was your child? How would you feel if you had a disabled child. Especially one who does compete in the Special Olympics. It was in bad taste and juvenile.

Dave,
I am sorry, but I feel that you may have misinterpreted my comment as a result of my own lack of communication. My quote of Larry the Cable Guy was directed at the words Mass Hole which were placed under the name of the user who from outside of Boston. I thought the clever wordage and placement of the words Mass Hole were hilarious. It was in no way meant as a comment on the Special Olympics poster.

I do have a problem with it (not you personally), but i was ignoring it. What got me was people who kept commenting that it was funny. That was bothering me more than the origianal post. That is why I posted on the open forum rather than a PM.

My bad. I obviously missed some of the posts.

It is just a personal topic for me as I have a nephew with Downs and he is very special to me and very close to me. He also competes in the Special Olympics. Everyone there has so much fun and it makes them so happy,...you would just have to see it for yourself once. I have seen him be attacked and made fun of for something that he cannot help. He has told me several times that he does not want to have Downs anymore. He so badly wants to be normal.

I apologize if I took it too personally and thank you for clearing that up.

No worries bro, you have been under some stress lately on here. Hang in there and take care of that nephew.
