No way. The Vmax is neutered, and most likely won't come close to touching the B-King. Rumor has it someone in town has one ordered. If/when it shows up we will see what is up. My money is on my B-King.

It may have 197 hp, but why limit it to 135 mph? And $18,000? Come on Yamaha, what are ya thinking? Sure, all 2500 units will sell here, but there isn't $18,000 worth of bike there. Can't wait to run one.

Damn near 200 ponies aint no joke.

5 minutes after it's released there'll be 10 different ways to bypass the 135 mph governor.

My money's on the V-Max.

And why would you want to go faster than 135mph? I could have sworn that I read it was capable of exceeding that speed if you were drag racing it, but can't find that anywhere atm.

What I've heard is that the V-Max is designed for drag racing. You get full power in the first 3 gears, with the power limited in gears 4 and 5 to keep the top speed down. Yes, this is backward from most sport bikes that limit power in the first couple gears to prevent unintentional wheelies.

I don't know if the above is true, I've just read it online. Unfortunately can't seem to find a link right now.

Why the hell do you need to go faster than 135...because you can? The V-max has a legacy...the B-king...not so much.

PS: The people who will buy the V-max...likely wouldn't look twice at the Buger King
