Default your help is needed!

Sup peeps about a month ago i went down on my 05 sv650 as a result of getting cut off. I just got the estimate done by the dealer/shop. It came out to be $4100 and it seems to me that the other insurance company is matching it. Now my issue is that my exhaust is trashed. The damage is mostly on the can but both mounting points are really bent. Now i can't decide wether to get a slip on ( wich eliminates one bent mounting point but still leaves the mounting point on the piping that mounts to the frame bent) or get a full exhaust system ( wich solves the mounting point issue but forces me to get a power comander, correct me if i'm wrong). My bike has 500 miles and i'm a beginner and i don't need more power.
  • How will the power comander effect the bike's performance?
  • Should i just get i done right and change the whole thing?
  • Should i get the parts and keep riding it the way it is and then put them on when i get more riding time?
  • What are some full exhaust systems / slip ons you recomend? and can you post pics with your recomendations.
  • What should i look for in an exhaust?

Any info you post will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance PENO

Well that's a nice little drop considering the bike it only $5800 new.

Well wouldn't the repair estimate cover all those points so they would be fixed just like new??

The PC will do wonders if you change your exhaust to a full system and slap on a K&N air filter. Remapping the power curve, AF mix and injectors would be a must do to keep the power flowing correctly and smoothly.

For pipes the better ones for the SV are Yosh, M4, Two Bros, Scorpion, Holeshot and Micron. Yosh and M4 should have full systems that simply bolt on.

Get the bike fixed to spec and then figure out what you want to add on over the winter and buy and slap them on this winter and wait for spring to try them out.

Would you like to learn more???
