Default How to spend $600 - SV K5

Lets say that someone I know was able to take about $600 from the join account (no kids) and could use them to upgrade an SV650 K5. How would you spend them?

I was thinking:

- Changing oil (maybe springs) in the front suspension; about $180
- Slip on cans (suggestions?) $350
- Rear sprocket $70

I can live with the rear shock ... but, would you rather do cans or rear shock? It will not see a lot of track time or tight twisties.

What would you do?

Cheers,

Serge

My sensible side says do the front boingers (though I have no idea how good or bad they are now), but my stupid side (by far the strongest urge) says CANS! CANS! CANS!

Bro, if it's a joint account, I'd take the change in my pocket, head to the carwash and call it a day. Now if you have seperate accounts, well, go for broke.

Its a join account into which I put 15% of my salary and she puts what ever is left from her allowance ... which I fund. In any case, she is ok with it.

As for pipes, what would you recomend? Yoshimura? Two Brothers? Holeshot?

I was told I would only need a quick remap of the FI and something like a K&N filter. Is that correct?

My buddy has a 01 Svs with a full Yosh system and it sounds mean. It has a deep barking tone to it! I like it but I haven't heard a D&D system, or two brothers, or micron either...

Really, it's personal preference when it comes to sound. Power variations will be negligable. I linked to Holeshot because I've seen over and over what kind of service Dale offers his customers. He replies in person to any issues you have with his products.
