Default New newbie to the site

I grew up riding dirt bikes, street bikes. Had a 15 year hitis, and am now back into bikes at the age of 28.
Bougt a new Yamaha V Star 650 in May 2005. I got the little bike to "re-learn" riding again; and also if my wife wanted to learn, this would be a good bike for her.
Three months later, and I'm bored out of my mind with the Yammy. Went down two weeks ago, and bout a brand new B12 limited. Best bike I have ever owned!

Excellent choice of bikes, BTW. Be careful. Returning riders have a high crash rate. Take the Experienced Rider Course asap so you don't reinforce your bad habits or gain too much false confidence. Remember, cagers are trying to kill you!

Ya, I guess the 05 Bandit is the last of this model. Suzuki calls the 05 a 1200sz limited. The 06 is suppose to be redesigned,1300cc, and fuel injected. I found all this out after I had bought the B12, figures..

Ya, I didn't realize how much I missed riding.
Yes, I will be careful on this bike. It's having self control, maturity, and having an ever watchful eye on everything that moves; that will keep you alive and safe.
I've investigated too many bike wrecks. They suck.......

I understand about the V-star, the more I ride it the more I wish I'd gone another route, but it has gotten me back into the game. One question though, if you had a 15 year hiatus, and you are 28, what where you doing riding street bikes at 13???

It was a street leagal mid size Honda, sorry I didn't clarify. I can't remember the model; however, it wasn't a full size bike either. 1970's model Honda. My father brought it home one night and said here ya go. I already knew how to ride, so I rode that thing back and forth to my friends house's 24/7.

ROFL!

Fake, you have a great bike there. If you'd wanted a 150 hp, efi monster costing thousands more, there are plenty of options. The B12 is almost one of a kind when it comes to performance vs price and ease of tinkering. You can maintain and upgrade that bike to the extreme with a little study.
