|  New member/ GSXR750 won't idle
Hi out thier. I am new to the site, I go by the user name jsshark1. I have been ridding for over 30 years street and dirt . always worked on my oun bikes. I now have a 97 GSXR750 mostly stock with just a pip on it.  I need a bit of help, I ride my bike only for half of the year and it sits for the other half , every year I have not had any problem when starting my bike for the first time for the new season till now, well this time it sat for 9 months becouse I was in the mid of buying a house so it was behind all sorts of boxes so I was not able to get it out, so thier is sat till now, I was ready to ride my bike and it was hard to start but that happens every year to a point. well I finaly got it started and it runs real rough did not want to idle, well I thought it could be the gas so i put in a 1 gal and 1/2 and some gas treatment and drove it around town for a hour and I still cant get it to idle, I changed the spark plugs last night but still no luck. I have spark in all 4 pistons, I have power after 3000rpm, ran grate on the freeway, but will still not idle, what can I check ? whier do I need to spray carb cleaner if you think that can be the problem, where on or in the carberators needs to be clean if that is the problem ?? can it be the timing ?? not that I touched any ajustments at this point. only changed the plugs thanks for your time  jsshark1 |
