Default SV650 (Naked) Suspension Set-up

Hi all,

I changed the factory settings on my SV. I went from 3 to 6 in the rear preload and from 3 to 1 lines in the front preload. I'm 6"2' and 185.

I like the feel of the bike like this. It feels "solid" and is not as "bouncy" as it was with the factory set-up.

My question to you SV owners/riders, what is your set-up? Am I going to stiff? I do mostly highway and not to curvy country roads.

Also, the front tire recommended cold pressure is 33. My guess is that it assumes that after some ridding the pressure will increase. So my question is, if I ride in many boring-straight roads, is there an issue to set it up to 35 cold so to compensate for the lack of proper pressure buildup?

To more experienced riders, does more stiff means better stability? And before you "bark" back at me with "depends what stiff means", I mean, without going to extremes, does stiff-er helps (when compared with factory settings)?

Cheers,
Serge
