Not exatly sure......I almost always have to get gas at about 130 miles but my riding is all over the place (back roads, highways etc). My guess is to expect less mileage on highways only because your rpm is usually higher at 70 than normal cruising around town. Most likely im wrong because I honestly have no idea......that just makes the most sense to me.

He must have meant 150 miles per tank.

On my 750 I got around 150 miles per tank on the highway if I kept it under 90 mph and wasn't on the rear wheel.

I get 100 miles or less from full to when the 'fill-up' light starts to flash.

2000 GSX-R600. My 1.1gal warning light comes on at 150 miles EACH tank [give or take .5 mile]. That translates to 41 mpg. That's mainly city riding, some highway.

I can probably push it to 190 or 195 miles per tank, if I want to risk running the tank dry.. but I hear that's bad for any engine, to let your gas get so low. Something about condensation... anybody know?

WTF? The first reply is nonsense (150 mpg? Sure.) and the next three are tank range (completely useless without mentioning the tank size).

I get 40-44, depending on how I'm riding that day. My tank is 20L (about 5 gallons), and I get just over 200 miles if I really stretch it.

The reason I didn't mention my tank size is because NO ONE runs the tank down to 0.0 gallons! That's why I translated it into 'miles per gallon'.

4.7 gallon tank - 1.1 gallon [warning light] = 3.6 gallons. 150 miles until the warning light comes on, would be 150 / 3.6 = 41.7 mpg.

Yeah, you're the only one who offered useful info. I didn't mention your post.

On a full tank (meaning the fuel comes barely into the base/neck of the tank while the bike is straight up), Interstate riding I get between 117-119 miles before my light comes on...& yes the speed of riding varies greatly.

Other riding which includes a lot of stops & go's on all kinds of roads, I get between 105-110 before my fuel light comes on.

i get about 160ish miles to my tank wich is 4.5 gal, but i fill it up when the warning light comes on and i ussually fill up around 3.3-3.8 gals... i did the math one day and got 163 miles to 3.8 gals wich is 42mpg. thats city driving/twistys/romping on it.

your suppose to get better gas milage on the highway since your not reving the motor thro stop and go traffic, but i made a 180 mile round trip on the highway and my warning light came on about 20miles outta town...

So you only get about 30 minutes riding out of a tank?

I average about 40 mpg ... it's not too suprising that my 1400 is thirsty. I usually fill up at around 300 km (185 miles), and drop in about 18 liters (4.75 gallons). The tank has a 22 liter (5.8 gallon) capacity, but I've never had to put in more than 20.5 liters.

My car also averages about 40 mpg ...
