Purchased an 05 SV650S a few weeks ago. Had to go with Blue to go with the Red/White/Blue Combo,  A few newbie questions for you gurus out there. 1. Dealer wants $150 to do my 600 mile service. They say its a 2 hour labor job, but it looks like all it is, is inspecting/adjusting and oil/filter change. Is it worth it? 2. What type of oil do you guys recommend? Can I go with Full Synthetic right away! Dealer wants 10.95 a quart. Any cheaper places to buy the oil/good filter? 3. Should I change to a K&N air filter? 4. Last newbie ? Any good place to get a rear license plate conversion? I want to have blinkers but that license plate holder is hideous! Thanks for helping me out. I look forward to hearing your responses.  |
