|  stacked gearbox? Hi, I'm just wondering if someone could explain this "stacked" gearbox to me. I keep reading about yamaha's revolutionary stacked tri axis transmission layout, but I can't find anywhere that explains what it really is or what's so revolutionary about it. If anyone could tell me it would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

| Conventionally the gear trains in a bike box are layed out side by side, In a stacked configeration they are on top of one another. This allows the manufacturer to make the unit shorter and more compact. I'll pass on Yamahas Tri axis as i will have to enquire about that one !!! |
