Default Sometimes bike won't start :-/

When i hop on the bike (let's say, after stopping momentarily or @ the beginning of the day), sometimes i turn the ignition to ON, and i don't hear that "whirr" and pushing the starter won't work.

i've found a trick that's making it start.

let's say i ride for a couple hours, and i stop the bike..i flip killswitch to OFF and take out key.

next day, i put in key and turn to ON, then killswitch to RUN. THEN i will hear the "whirr" and the bike will start.

But if i kill the bike (w/ kill switch, then while ign. is ON i turn kill to RUN), the next time i try to start the bike it won't "whirrr" so i can't start it.

by whirrr i mean that blowing sound like the engine's being cooled down. i'm not referring to the engine trying to turn over.

Perhaps it would help if we had a clue what you ride.

My guess from what I know is that the "whir" is your fuel pump (injected?), and using the kill switch disables it temporarily. Just a guess. Otherwise, the starter motor is bad or the battery terminals are dirty or loose.

Fix that sig!
